Muscat City Tour
From 9:00 am to around 1:00 pm

A half-day tour in Muscat, the capital area, begins in the morning taking you to the magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grande Mosque (No visit on Friday), which houses a library and center for the teaching of religious studies.
`Then we will visit the Natural History Museum, exhibiting the flora and fauna of Oman. There is no better place for experiencing ‘Oman through time’.
From there, we will go to the Traditional Souq (market) in Muttrah, one of the oldest preserved souqs in Oman. To conclude the tour, visit the Old Town of Muscat and take a walk around Al Alam Palace and the 16th Century forts, Jalali and Mirani.

Muscat City Tour (Full Day)

The mosque closed on Fridays
you will meet your tour guide and proceed for a tour of Muscat city. Our experienced guide will give you
an insight into the country. The tour starts with a visit to the Natural History Museum, a museum with flora &
fauna which boasts of a giant fossil.
From here proceed for a visit of the Grand Mosque (open for visitors from Sat to Thur 8-11 AM only, except the holidays) which is the biggest mosque in the country with beautiful artwork, a chandelier & a one-piece carpet covering the entire prayer hall measuring approx. 4260 square meters. After the visit continue your drive to the “Al Alam Place” (Photo stop) flanked by the two Portuguese Forts “Jalali & Mirani”. Continue your drive along the Corniche waterfront to “Mutrah Souq”, one of the oldest souqs in Oman. The narrow alleys of the souq and the smell of mystic frankincense and sandalwood in the air are typical of this souq. Pass by Qurum Beach and stop over at Oprah’s house After the visit return to your vehicle to drive back to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Nizwa, a step in to the past

Friday’s starting time is 07.00 hrs
We will reach Nizwa driving through Hajar Mountain via Fanja. A photo stop is planned at Birkat al Mawza, an old village where the houses, built long ago in the pure Omani traditions, are still well conserved.
Then we will continue to the impressive 17th century fort and to the traditional souq, some of Nizwa’s main points of interest. After Nizwa, we will proceed to Bahla, where the pre-Islamic fort is part of the UNESCO worldwide culture heritage. (The fort is for now on closed for renovation). Only a few kilometres away, we will find the Jabrin fort, one of the finest and most gorgeous forts of Oman.

Rustaq & Nakhal
From 8:00am to around 4:00pm
Reach Rustaq crossing the Al Batina plain. On the way, visit the Fish market and souq of BARKA and then the Bait Al Naman, house of splendor built in the 17th century in Barka and nicely decorated.
In Rustaq, we will visit the magnificent Rustaq fort and the modern souq where you will find silver jewellery, herbs, spices and the famous Rustaq halwa.
Then head towards Nakhal, is a small and nice village, nestled against a mountain. It is known for its impressive fort, set on a rocky cliff and surrounded by palm trees. Then we will keep on our way to the Thowarah spring. The warm water coming out of the spring is full of minerals and is considered to have medicinal properties.

Desert Adventure and Oasis Trail
From 8:00am to around 6:00pm
The tour begins in the morning, leaving the bustle of the city to the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of red and white sea of sand. Visitors have the chance to have a close look at the Bedouin life by visiting a Bedouin house, where they will also see various traditional handicrafts, and maybe choose to experience a camel ride (not included).
Then, proceed to Wadi Bani Khalid, considered as the most beautiful wadi in Oman. It is set deep into the hills and is reputed to have more water than any other place in the Sultanate (Swimming is possible, you may want to take your swim suit).

Coastal Trail (Wadi Shab)
From 8:00am to around 4:30pm
Leave from Muscat to Quriyat and then the Sinkhole, a part of collapsed mountain filled with sea water. This huge cavity now contains peaceful turquoise water inviting for a swim.
We will continue along the white sand beaches and then reach Wadi Shab, which is certainly one of the most gorgeous destinations in Oman. Beyond the breathtaking entrance, you will see aquamarine pools, waterfalls and terraced plantations.
It is a nice journey to walk through this peaceful area, where oleander bushes attract butterflies and where the singing of the birds is lovely. (Swimming is possible; you may want to take your swim suit).

Nizwa and the Grand Canyon
From 8:00am to around 5:00pm
In Nizwa, visit the 17th century Nizwa Fort, located in the city center and surrounded by the traditional souq (market), where the locals trade in various merchandises, from vegetables to jewellery.
Then, we will proceed to Jabal Shams (the mountain of the sun), the highest pick in Oman at over 3,000m. Along the steep and windy road leading to the top of the mountain, you will discover small villages hiding within the mountains rocks.
Then heading to the incredible Grand Canyon, where you can enjoy a walk in the cool atmosphere of the mountain.

Nizwa and Jabal Akhdar
From 8:00am to around 5:00pm
In Nizwa, visit the 17th century Nizwa Fort, located in the city center and surrounded by the traditional souq (market), where the locals trade in various merchandises, from vegetables to jewellery.
From there, we will continue to the Jabal Akhdar, literally translated as the “Green Mountain”. Its elevated altitude (the Saiq plateau is 2000 meters high) brings the moderate climate necessary to grow all types of plantations (fruit trees, roses…).

Indeed, while visiting the Jabal Akhdar, you will feel refreshed and you will be surprised by the greenery of the site!

Nakhal & Wadi Al Abyadh
From 8:00am to around 5.00pm
We leave in the morning for Nakhal, our first visit of the day is a magnificent fort perched on a rocky mountain, which overlooks a small town known for date plantation. Next will proceed to a village called Thowarah where warm water coming out of a spring, believed that full of minerals & healing ingredients is contained.
Will continue our 4WD safari to Wadi Abyadh, “the white valley”, which is an amazing mix of the most attractive Omani sceneries. Wadi, mountain, dunes: Wadi Abyadh has it all!
Wadi Abyadh will charm you with its flowing water all year long, its oleander bushes blossoming, & also you may be lucky to see colorful birds and butterflies. Desert is a perfect place for an exciting dune drive.
On our way back will have a break (photo stop) at Town of Baraka to admire fish & vegetable markets.

Wadi Al Abyadh Desert Wonder
From 8:00am to around 03:30 pm
We drive through city of Baraka, & then off road a dirt track through fascinating Hajar Mountains to Wadi Abyad, famous for water pools.
Wadi Abyad, “the white valley”, which is an amazing mix of the most attractive Omani sceneries. Wadi, mountain, dunes: Wadi Abyad has it all!
This trip will charm you with its flowing water all year long, its oleander bushes blossoming, & also you may be lucky to see colorful birds and butterflies. The tour proceeds to the Desert which is a perfect place for an exciting dune drive.
On our way back will have a break (photo stop) at Town of Baraka to admire fish & vegetable markets.

Nizwa , Al Hamra & Mountain Village

Nizwa the capital of interior & the birth palace of Islam & Former capital of sultanate .
The tour start in the morning, driving through the Hajar mountain via Fanja, protected by its 2 watch towers.
The old capital boats of 17th centaury built Round Tower Fort, with its impressive size (the central tower is 24 meter high and 27 meters wide), as well as the traditional souq, where the locals trade traditional ornamentals, like hand craft khanjar and silver jewellery, next visit is Hoota cave a beauty beneath. First tourist cave in gulf (225 ascending stairs, some areas may be wet and slippery) photo stop at wadi tanuf if time permits.
Proceed to Al Hamra & admire the view point of ancient settlements remaining.
Misfat Al Abriyeen is characterized by its alleys, traditional buildings, high mud building, and agricultural terraces that wrap around the mountain, along with the old buildings. Misfar Al Abrieen rises a thousand meter above the sea level. the home of its inhabitants is at the top of the mountain and their farms are on the slope.

Wadi Shab & Sur (costal trail)

After breakfast, start the journey in 4WD on the beautiful costal trail .
Our 1st stop is Sinkhole, a part of a collapsed mountain filled with sea water.
this huge cavity now contains peaceful turquoise water, inviting to swim.
Continue the drive on a tarmac road, leading along the white sand beaches.
These beaches are also nice spots for swimming, or just simple for relaxation.
Then proceed to Wadi Shab , which is certainly one of the most gorgeous destinations in Oman .
Beyond the breath-taking entrances, the wadi rewards you with the views of aquamarine pools, waterfalls
And terraced plantations.
Next will proceed to the fishing town of Sur & visit the surrounding, including a visit to traditional dhow
Yard, biggest dhow building centre of Arabia, boats being made in the traditional way.

Nakhal & Wadi Bani Awf
From 8:00am to around 05:30 0pm .
We leave in the morning for Nakhal, our first visit is magnificent fort perched on rocky mountains, which overlooks a small town known for date plantation, few kilometres away is a village called Thowrarh and its springs, believed to be full of minerals and healing ingredients .
Next will continue our journey along the loop to Wadi Bani Auf , an ancient wadi offering breath-taking vistas along its 26 km trails, is one of five spectacular wadis in the wilayat of Rustaq. Picture book oasis villages , nurtured by copious springs and falaj, are a striking feature of wadi bani Auf , the wadi is about 10 min drive from the ancient city of Al Rustaq and winds its way through the towering heights of Jebel al Akdhadr .
As we drive along, will also come across an extraordinary charming farming village called Bilad Sayt , we drive back to muscat Via Rustaq on Muzana Road
